Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a branch of the health sciences, which focuses upon the body’s neuromusculoskeletal system.
Since your spine is the key highway for your central nervous system, a chiropractor is trained to use a variety of diagnostic methods to examine and treat your spine and bone structure.
About Chiropractic
Chiropractic returns the body to balance through adjustments of the spine and joints, normalizing joint motion, reducing nerve interference, relieving stress, and restoring normal body function. Adjustments can be done manually or by using an adjusting instrument.
Chiropractors are trained to diagnose and treat joint, ligament, muscle, and tendon problems everywhere in the body. They are also able to provide rehabilitative exercises to speed healing.
Modalities may be used during your treatments to decrease muscle spasm, decrease pain, or help breakdown scar tissue. Examples of these modalities are laser, muscle stimulation, interferential current, ultrasound, and acupuncture.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a component of traditional Chinese medicine that has been used for over 2500 years. Acupuncture stimulates the production of endorphins and enkephalins, which are the body’s own natural pain-killing chemicals. After acupuncture needles are inserted, there is an increase in blood flow to the thalamus, which is the area of the brain that relays pain and other sensory messages
What is Acupuncture?
Depending on the condition, you’ll have anywhere from 1 to 20 hair-thin needles inserted under the skin. Each needle is pre-sterilized, individually wrapped, and discarded after a single use. There should be little or no pain from the insertion of the needles. Once inserted, the needles may be stimulated with an electrical current. Needles are left in the skin for 5 to 20 minutes.
You should expect to have several sessions. You may not get relief from the first session. If there are no changes after six to eight sessions, then acupuncture is likely not for you.

The treatment involves directing a deep acoustic energy pulse into an area of chronic muscle or tendon injury to stimulate blood flow and specific cellular activity.

Rehabilitation / Personal Training

Personal training can help you begin an exercise program or push your fitness to the next level. Training can also provide you with an exercise program that you can do at home or a gym. Rehabilitation and training sessions are one-on-one and can use a variety of equipment, such as tubing, bands or weights.
Custom Orthotics
An Orthotic is a corrective device worn inside your shoe. It can help the muscles, tendons and bones of your feet and lower legs function at their highest potential.
Custom-made Orthotics are manufactured from a 3-D image of your foot using raw materials. When appropriately prescribed to treat a medical condition, custom-made Orthotics can decrease pain, not only in your feet, but in other parts of the body, such as your knees, hips and lower back.
What is a Custom Orthotic?
Custom-made Orthotics are manufactured from a 3-D image of your foot using raw materials. When appropriately prescribed to treat a medical condition, custom-made Orthotics can decrease pain, not only in your feet, but in other parts of the body, such as your knees, hips and lower back.
Orthotics are prescribed by medical practitioners who will carry out a full biomechanical examination of your feet and related lower extremity, including gait patterns, and measurements. These medically prescribed devices are to be worn daily in accordance to your attending practitioner’s specific instructions.
True custom Orthotic devices cannot be produced by simply walking on a mat system or using ink impressions for size and shape. Be aware of what you are using and paying for.
General Wearing instructions:
All wearing instructions will be provided to you by your dispensing clinician. Ensure that you follow their specific orders when using your Orthotics.
Typical instructions are to wear your devices for an hour or so on the first day to adjust to the new alignment, and increase wear by an hour each day for the first week until you are able to wear them comfortably all day. If you experience any areas of concern or discomfort, discontinue use and contact your practitioner for review of your case.
It is suggested that Orthotics are to be worn daily for all activities and can be changed into various forms of footwear provided the fit is accommodating.
